Hambleton Village is located in St. Michaels, Talbot County, Maryland. St. Michaels is one of the Eastern Shores most popular tourist destinations. It is situated on the Miles river and is loaded with history and interesting places to see. St. Michaels is known as the "Town who fooled the British" during the War of 1812. The Townspeople purportedly hung lanterns in trees in a wooded area away from the Town, whereby British warships, which had been sighted earlier, sailed into town waters after dark and fired their cannon harmlessly into the woods. Hambleton Village is provided Aging and Transportation services by Upper Shore Aging, Inc. the local Non- profit Area Agency on Aging. Points of interest are the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, the Governors Cup Sailing Log Canoe Regatta, Tilghman Island, and the Bellevue/Oxford Ferry.
